Showtime’s limited series “George & Tammy” had a strong debut on Sunday. The premiere, which aired across Showtime, Paramount Network and CMT, brought in 3.3 million viewers.
With the other Paramount platforms factored in, the series made history as the most-watched Showtime premiere ever.
MTV Entertainment Studios produced the Abe Sylvia-created series with the remaining five episodes to exclusively on Showtime.
Jessica Chastain and Michael Shannon lead the cast of the series as married country music superstars George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
Sylvia, Chastain, Andrew Lazar, Josh Brolin and Kelly Carmichael executive produce.
