Al Strobel, who played Phillip Michael Gerard (aka Mike) in David Lynch and Mark Frost’s “Twin Peaks”, passed away on Friday at the age of 83.
The news was released through a Facebook post by series executive producer Sabrina S. Sutherland. Strobel, who lost his arm in a car accident at the age of 17, participated in the pilot for the series. However the character quickly became one of the most remembered characters in the series.
He reprised the role for “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me” and Showtime’s 2017 “Twin Peaks” revival. He also had roles in the films “Shadow Play,” “Megaville” and “Ricochet River” along with the telemovie “Child of Darkness, Child of Light”.
