Lionsgate is reportedly considering a major video game based on the “John Wick” action franchise.

During an earnings call with investors, CEO Jon Feltheimer says they’ve been ‘fielding proposals’ for a AAA big-budget video game based on the Keanu Reeves-led films, but things are still in the early stages:

“I don’t want to get ahead of myself here, but we believe there is a big AAA game to be made out of ‘John Wick.’ We have been fielding proposals. We certainly are interested in moving that forward, but I don’t want to say anything more about that at this time.”

While the small indie strategy game “John Wick Hex” was released in 2020, it’s a long way from a major action game – the kind of title the stylized action and gun-fu-filled films would work great in.

Feltheimer sees plenty of potential for future “John Wick” properties, praising the filmmakers for keeping the franchise “alive and important” and making it “more and more valuable”.

“John Wick – Chapter 4” is slated for release on March 24th 2023, whilst the Ana de Armas-starring spinoff movie “Ballerina” begins production next week, and the prequel series “The Continental” will release next year.
