Netflix has released the official trailer for Sally El Hosaini’s biographical drama “The Swimmers” which hits select theaters on November 11th and the streamer on November 23rd.
The story follows the journey from war-torn Syria to the 2016 Rio Olympics. Two young sisters embark on a harrowing journey as refugees, putting both their hearts and champion swimming skills to heroic use.
Nathalie Issa, Manal Issa, Matthias Schweighöfer, Ahmed Malek, James Krishna Floyd, Nahel Tzegai, Kinda Alloush, and Ali Suliman star, whilst El Hosaini and Jack Thorne co-wrote the script.
Based on a true story, The Swimmers is directed by Sally El Hosaini from a screenplay she co-wrote with multi-award-winning screenwriter and playwright Jack Thorne. Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner produce.
