The full-length trailer and a new poster has arrived for the third and final season of BAFTA-winning BBC and HBO co-production “His Dark Materials”. The eight-episode final season debuts on HBO on December 5th with two back-to-back episodes.
Based on “The Amber Spyglass,” the final novel in Philip Pullman’s trilogy, the new run will see Will (Amir Wilson), the bearer of The Subtle Knife and Lyra (Dafne Keen), the prophesied child, travel through multiple worlds to find and protect each other – including a dark place from which no one has ever returned.
As her father’s great war against the Authority edges closer, they will learn that saving the worlds comes at a terrible price.
New cast members include Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Commander Ogunwe, Jamie Ward as Father Gomez and Amber Fitzgerald-Woolfe as Ama. In addition, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Simon Harrison, and Chipo Chung are the rebel angels Balthamos, Baruch and Xaphania, respectively.
They join returning cast such as Ruth Wilson, James McAvoy, Simone Kirby, Will Keen, Jade Anouka, Ruta Gedmintas and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
