A new report indicates Harrison Ford is, or was, Marvel Studios’ top choice to star as General Ross in the upcoming “Thunderbolts” film.
Reporter Jeff Sneider announced the news, indicating Ford is NOT currently cast in the film, and it’s presently unclear if he has already passed on the role.
If true it would indicate instead of going with a new character, they are recasting the General Thaddeus Ross for the story following the passing of veteran actor William Hurt who played the role in “The Incredible Hulk,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame”.
The new film stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
“Thunderbolts” is due for release on July 26th 2024.
