AMC has picked up a second season of its TV series adaptation of Anne Rice’s beloved novel “Interview With the Vampire”.
The order comes just days ahead of the show’s launch on October 2nd with early reviews for the series praising it. The eight-episode second season will be set in Europe and showrunner Rolin Jones will continue to oversee the series.
Dan McDermott, president of original programming for AMC Networks and AMC Studios says in a statement: “This is only the beginning of an entire Universe featuring enthralling stories and characters that capture the spirit of Anne Rice’s amazing work.”
The series stars Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac and Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt, along with Bailey Bass and Eric Bogosian. Mark Johnson also executive produces.
