Filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have fanned the flames of recent circulating rumors surrounding a potential renewal order for Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” TV series.
The pair, who most recently directed the now-defunct $90 million “Batgirl” film for Warner Bros. Pictures, executive produced and helmed two episodes of “Ms. Marvel” which went to air earlier this year.
In an Instagram post commemorating their work, the pair captioned the photo “who’s ready for season 2?”. This adds to recent circulating rumors that a second season renewal order is on the way with scooper Daniel Richtman reporting a week ago that a green light for a second season has been handed out.
That said, it remains speculation as show star Iman Vellani deflected renewal talk at D23 the other week, saying “they don’t tell me anything”. So far, “Loki” and “What If?” remain the only Marvel Studios series to receive official second season orders.
Vellani stars as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the series – the 16-year-old Pakistani American from Jersey City who has always struggled to find her place in the world until she gets superpowers.
Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha co-starred.
