Actor Tom Hardy has been making headlines today for a rather unexpected reason.
The Guardian reports that the 45-year-old “Inception” and “The Dark Knight Rises” star shocked the crowds at a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship held at a high school gym in the English village of Milton Keynes.
The actor quietly entered the competition under his real name, Edward Hardy, and won all his matches. Speaking to the outlet a spokesperson for the championships said:
“Everyone recognized him but he was very humble and was happy to take time out for people to take photographs with him. It was a real pleasure to have him compete at our event.”
This follows Hardy doing a similar thing last month when he won the REORG Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Wolverhampton, England.
