HBO

Following the fifth episode last night, HBO’s “Game of Thrones” prequel spin-off series “House of the Dragon” has hit the halfway point in its run.

With the next episode comes major casting changes as the result of a time jump. Emma D’Arcy takes over from Milly Alcock as Princess Rhaenyra, while Olivia Cooke replaces Emma Carey as Alicent Hightower.

They are not the only changes as the time jump leads to a reorganising of the board – an older Prince Aegon readies to challenge his half-sister’s claim, Prince Daemon has re-married, and dragons are everywhere as the Seven Kingdoms draws closer to war.

The sixth episode will premiere on HBO and HBO Max on September 25th with the first season to air its finale on October 23rd.
