Jacob Lofland Joins The “Joker” Sequel

20th Century Studios

Rising actor Jacob Lofland (“Mud,” “The Maze Runner”) has scored a key role in Todd Phillips’ “Joker: Folie à Deux” starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

Though story details are under wraps, the new film is believed to be set partly in Arkham Asylum and also has a musical component.

Lofland will play an inmate at the asylum who develops a relationship with Arthur Fleck/The Joker. Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener also star.

Phillips wrote the script with “Joker” co-writer Scott Silver. Production is due to begin in November in Los Angeles and New York ahead of an October 4th 2024 release.
