Zac Efron and John Cena are reportedly in early talks to star in Peter Farrelly’s new R-rated comedy “Ricky Stanicky” which begins production in early 2023.
Filming is slated to begin in January with Farrelly indicating it will be in the spirit of his earlier raucous comedies “There’s Something About Mary” and “Dumb and Dumber” which he co-directed with his brother Bobby.
Reportedly Stanicky is a fictional character used by a group of married friends to blame their misbehavior on when making excuses to their wives. One day the wives, who have been wondering why they’ve never met Stanicky, demand to meet him.
So the group hire a guy to come in for a day and everybody loves him so much that the guys can’t get rid of him.
