Netflix has announced that production of Toho Studio’s upcoming Japanese series “House of Ninjas” is underway with plans for a 2024 release.
Set in modern-day Japan, the series follows the last ninja clan – the Tawara family. They had abandoned their roots after an incident in the past, but now the family must take on the greatest crisis in the country’s history, one that threatens to shake the nation to its core.
The series aims to fuse spy elements, ninja elements and colorful family drama. It will star Kaku Kento, who will also serve as co-executive producer. Eguchi Yosuke, Kimura Tae, Kora Kengo, Makita Aju and Miyamoto Nobuko also star.
Dave Boyle (“Man from Reno”) directs from a screenplay by himself, Yamaura Masahiro, Oura Kota and Kimura Kanna.
