NBC has premiered the full-length trailer for “Quantum Leap,” its upcoming modern update of the iconic 1990s sci-fi drama.
The new series takes place thirty years after Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and its creator.
Raymond Lee plays world-renowned physicist Dr. Ben Seong, a man of faith who is working to restart the project and soon winds up ‘leaping’ into the bodies of different people in modern history.
Caitlin Bassett, Nanrisa Lee, Mason Alexander Park, and Ernie Hudson co-star in the series while Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt (“La Brea”) serve as writers and executive producers.
The new “Quantum Leap” premieres on September 19th.
