Netflix has premiered the trailer for the Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne-led true story thriller “The Good Nurse” which hits select cinemas on October 19th ahead of a worldwide release on the streamer on October 26th.
The story follows Amy (Chastain), a compassionate nurse and single mother struggling with a life-threatening heart condition who is stretched to her physical and emotional limits by the hard and demanding night shifts at the ICU.
Help arrives when Charlie (Redmayne), a thoughtful and empathetic fellow nurse, starts at her unit. The two develop a strong and devoted friendship, but a series of mysterious patient deaths sets off an investigation that points to Charlie as the prime suspect and Amy is forced to risk her life and the safety of her children to uncover the truth.
Nnamdi Asomugha, Kim Dickens, Malik Yoba, Alix West Lefler, and Noah Emmerich co-star in the film which hails from filmmaker Tobias Lindholm (“A War”) and a script by Krysty Wilson-Cairns (“1917”). The project premieres shortly in Toronto.
