Syfy’s Alan Tudyk-led sci-fi comedy “Resident Alien” has scored a third season renewal consisting of twelve episodes. The pickup comes ahead of the August 10th premiere of the second half of the second season. The series, based on the Dark Horse comics, is averaging 2.3 million viewers in Live+7 ratings. Beauty and the Beast
Five-time Grammy winner H.E.R. is set to play Belle in ABC’s upcoming hybrid special in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”.

Alongside a screening of the film, it will include live never-before-seen musical performances and feature brand-new sets and costumes inspired by the classic story. The event airs on December 15th on ABC ahead of a next-day Disney+ launch. [Source: Variety]

Bridgerton
Netflix has announced that production has begun in London on the third season of its megahit period drama “Bridgerton”. The news was revealed in an announcement video, featuring returning cast members including leading stars Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan.

Three new cast members have also joined the series – Daniel Francis as the charismatic Marcus Anderson, Sam Phillips and the genial and eccentric Lord Debling, and James Phoon will play the handsome Harry Dankworth. The new run will be based on the fourth book of the series. [Source: Twitter]
