Following the first tease of the project a few weeks back, Sony Pictures has now reportedly set a December 20th 2023 release date for the next “Ghostbusters” film.
The sequel to last year’s “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” the currently untitled film will see the series return to New York City and its Firehouse setting.
The project has been dubbed “the next chapter in the Spengler family story” and will once again be directed by Jason Reitman from a screenplay he is co-writing with Gil Kenan.
It’s not clear which Afterlife cast members or other legacy characters could be returning.
