A couple of key release date announcements today for two theatrical and a digital release.
See How They Run
Searchlight’s period mystery feature “See How They Run” has set a September 30th limited theatrical release. Sam Rockwell, Saoirse Ronan, David Oyelowo, Adrien Brody and Ruth Wilson star.
The Tom George-directed movie is set in London’s West End during the 1950s as plans for a movie version of a smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after a pivotal member of the crew is murdered. Rockwell plays the investigative detective and Ronan is his plucky assistant.
True Love
Original “Rogue One” helmer “Godzilla” director Gareth Edwards’ original sci-fi film “True Love” will open in cinemas on October 6th 2023. Ken Watanabe, John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Allison Janney and Sturgill Simpson star in the project with story specifics under wraps.
Downton Abbey: A New Era
Peacock has announced that the recent “Downton Abbey: A New Era” film will debut on the streaming platform on June 24th – 35 days after its theatrical release.
All six seasons, the first film, and the one-hour special “The Manners of Downton Abbey” will also be made available on the service ahead of the film’s release.
