Netflix’s Geeked Week event is underway and has kicked off with some horror series teases.
First up there’s a brief tease of “Wednesday,” the upcoming reimagining of “The Addams Family” starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams as she attends the boarding school Nevermore Academy.
Luis Guzman and Catherine Zeta-Jones play Gomez and Morticia in the series which hails from “Smallville” duo Al Gough and Miles Millar along with director Tim Burton.
Next came a trailer for “Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities,” an eight-episode anthology series of horror stories boasting directors like Jennifer Kent, Vincenzo Natali, Panos Cosmatos and Catherine Hardwicke along with actors like Rupert Grint, Andrew Lincoln, Ben Barnes and F. Murray Abraham.
Finally there’s the first trailer for celebrated filmmaker Mike Flanagan’s new series “The Midnight Club” which will skew a little more young adult than prior series like “Midnight Mass,” “The Haunting of Bly Manor” and “The Haunting of Hill House”. Many of his series regulars including Rahul Kohli and Zach Gilford co-star in the show which will arrive on October 7th.
