He’s already had his own biopic with the very well-received Taron Egerton-led film “Rocketman,” now musician Elton John is getting his own official documentary with “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”.

Co-directed by R.J. Cutler and John’s husband and filmmaker David Furnish, the doco will center around John’s farewell tour along with looking back at the period of 1970-1975 when John released ten albums and scored some of his biggest hits.

The doco will also include an array of unseen concert footage from the past 50 years, as well as John’s handwritten journals and present-day footage of the musician and his family.

The film is expected to first hit the film festival circuit ahead of a limited theatrical release followed by a splashy Disney+ exclusive launch.
