Naomi Ackie has set a deal while Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo are in talks to join Robert Pattinson in “Parasite” and “Snowpiercer” director Bong Joon Ho’s next feature – a currently untitled sci-fi film for Warner Bros. Pictures, Kate Street Picture Company and Plan B.
Based on Edward Ashton’s forthcoming novel “Mickey7,” the story follows a man on an expedition to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Said man is an expendable employee who takes jobs too risky for anyone else.
When he dies, he regenerates as a clone with most of his memories intact. Presumed dead after an accident, Mickey7 returns to the mission’s base only to see that a new clone, Mickey8, has taken his place.
Bong will write, direct, and produce the film.
