As part of Sony Pictures’ CinemaCon presentation tonight in Las Vegas, the studio revealed a new title for the planned third ‘Spider-verse’ film.
They confirmed the two-part sequel to “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse” and have now set their titles as “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse” arriving in 2023 and “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-verse” arriving in 2024.
Going into more detail, ‘Across’ will boast the largest crew for an animated movie ever with 1000 people working on it and the film incorporates 240 characters across six universes (so far).
Studio chief Tom Rothman is VERY confident in the films, saying to the crowd: “to the opposition, I’d just say, ‘watch the f–k out.’ I’ve got a big reputation to keep up over here.”
