With one key exception, the various Marvel Studios series for the Disney+ service have all had one thing in common – they’re all one and done.
Aside from “Loki,” which has been granted a second season and is still reportedly the most viewed and one of the most acclaimed of the series launches thus far, all the others have not made any plans for further episodes.
According to Variety, that will be the case with the two most recent shows “Hawkeye” and “Moon Knight” as Disney is said to be submitting both series for Emmy consideration under the Outstanding Limited or Anthology series category where “WandaVision” was submitted last year.
While the characters can certainly show up elsewhere in the MCU, the submission is an admission on Disney’s part these will not be ongoing series as they can’t qualify in such a category and must be submitted instead under the ‘Outstanding Drama series’ category.
“Moon Knight” will wrap its six-episode run on May 4th.
