“Wonder Twin powers activate”.
“Riverdale” leading man KJ Apa and “1883” actress Isabel May have scored the lead roles of the alien siblings Zan and Jayna in the live-action DC comedy feature “The Wonder Twins” for HBO Max.
First introduced in Hanna-Barbera’s “The All-New Super Friends Hour” cartoon, before later appearing in the “Super Friends” comic and DC universe overall, she can transform into any animal whilst he can change into water in any state. The pair also had a pet crime-fighting monkey named Gleek.
How much of that will translate to the film remains to be seen, but the characters have appeared in live-action before on The CW’s “Smallville” and “The Flash”.
“Black Adam” and “Rampage” co-scribe Adam Sztykiel is making his directorial debut on the film which will shoot this Summer in Atlanta from a script he’s penned. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce.
