HBO Max has officially handed out a series order for an adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner’s DC Comics title “Dead Boy Detectives”.
“The Flight Attendant” creator Steve Yockey adapted the comic and will serve as showrunner on the series which will be produced by Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Productions. Jeremy Carver is also onboard as executive producer.
The series is dubbed a fresh take on a ghost story that explores loss, grief, and death through the lens of two dead British teenagers Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland… and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace.
George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri will play Edwin and Charles whilst Kassius Nelson is Crystal. Briana Cuoco, Yuyu Kitamura and Jenn Lyon star along with Ruth Connell who will reprise her role of Night Nurse from HBO Max’s “Doom Patrol”.
