Redbox Entertainment

Redbox Entertainment has premiered the trailer for its action-thriller “Black Site” starring Jason Clarke, Michelle Monaghan, Jai Courtney, Todd Lasance, Logan Huffman and Lincoln Lewis.

Sophia Banks helms the film in which CIA Agent Abby Trent (Monaghan) manages an underground black site facility imprisoning dangerous and high-risk detainees. Days before her reassignment to a new post, Special Ops bring in a high-value target ‘Hatchet’ (Clarke) who has killed many including Abby’s husband.

He soon escapes and begins a bloody game of murdering the site officers one by one. At the same time, she discovers there are moles within the ranks, compromising the mission. Redbox Entertainment will release the film on May 3rd.

Netflix has premiered a trailer for its cop comedy “The Takedown” which hails from filmmaker Louis Leterrier and stars Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte. The film launches on the streamer on May 6th.

A sequel to the French comedy “On The Other Side Of The Tracks,” the pair play two cops with very different styles and backgrounds who are reunited for a criminal investigation across France

Next comes the trailer for Terence Davies’ new drama “Benediction” which deals with the lyrical life of Siegfried Sassoon, one of the leading poets of the First World War. The film premieres in the UK in late May and in the US on June 3rd.

Sassoon’s work inspired the world even as he was forced to hold the secret of his homosexuality even as he engaged in a series of affairs with many high-profile men. Jack Lowden and Peter Capaldi play younger and elder versions of the tortured artist.

Finally comes the trailer for “Official Competition,” the comedy that skewers the film festival industrial complex and sees Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas re-teaming for the story in which a billionaire hires a famous female filmmaker and two male stars with huge egos for a vanity project. IFC Films will release the movie in cinemas on June 17th.
