Sinqua Walls has been set in the lead opposite rapper Jack Harlow in the “White Men Can’t Jump” remake at 20th Century Studios.
Ron Shelton helmed the 1992 sports comedy in which a pair of basketball hustlers (one black, one white) join forces to double their chances of winning money on the street courts and in a basketball tournament.
Walls and Harlow will take on the roles Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson respectively played in the original.
Veteran music video director Calmatic, who is also helming the upcoming “House Party” remake, is directing the reboot which boasts a script by Kenya Barris.
Walls is a TV veteran with key recurring roles on “Friday Night Lights,” “Power,” “Teen Wolf” and “Once Upon a Time” and is currently starring in Netflix’s “Resort to Love”. He also appears in this year’s Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner – Nikyatu Jusu’s horror film “Nanny”.
