Jesse L. Martin, who plays Joe West in The CW’s “The Flash,” will exit that series as a regular after eight seasons.
The actor won’t vanish though as he’s expected to guest star in multiple episodes of the show’s recently picked up ninth season which many expected to be its last and could be truncated.
Martin has also closed a deal to lead the NBC drama pilot “The Irrational” about a behavioural science professor caught in a cat-and-mouse game with a female domestic terror suspect.
