Angela Bassett has joined Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s Netflix fantasy film “Damsel” starring Millie Bobby Brown. Bassett will play Brown’s stepmother Lady Bayford.

Creed III
Selenis Leyva, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Spence Moore II and Mila Davis-Kent have all joined the Michael B. Jordan-directed “Creed III” at MGM. The group join previously announced stars Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu and Phylicia Rashad in the project set for a theatrical release this Thanksgiving. Lydia West (“It’s a Sin”) will replace Nathalie Emmanuel in a co-starring role alongside Patricia Clarkson in eight-episode spy thriller series “Gray”. John McLaughlin and David Baldacci created the series which Ruba Nadda (“Cairo Time”) is directing.
Clarkson plays CIA spy Cornelia Gray who emerges from 20 years in hiding, dodging the government agents who suspected her of being a traitor. But just as she returns to her old life, it’s discovered that there’s a new mole in her old spy network. [Source: Variety]
