Award winner Gillian Anderson has signed a first-look deal with Netflix deal via her production company Fiddlehead Productions with an initial term of two years. Anderson has been working with Netflix in recent years on “Sex Education” and “The Crown”. [Source: Variety]

FX has set a May 31st premiere date for “Pistol,” the Danny Boyle-directed limited series about Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones. The limited series, based on Jones’ 2017 memoir “Lonely Boy,” will hit Hulu in the U.S. and on Disney+ via Star internationally. All six episodes will be released on that date. [Source: Deadline]

Chesapeake Shores
Hallmark Channel has renewed the ensemble family drama “Chesapeake Shores” for a sixth and final season of ten episodes which will premiere this Summer.

The series follows the O’Brien family and their romantic and professional relationships. Meghan Ory, Robert Buckley, Treat Williams, Barbara Niven, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny and Andrew Francis will return for the final run. [Source: TV Line]

“You” and “Haunting of Bly Manor” alum Victoria Pedretti has scored a lead rule in Hulu’s eight-episode drama “Saint X” based on Alexis Schaitkin’s novel. Leila Gerstein and Dee Rees executive produce.

Told in multiple timelines and from multiple perspectives, it explores how a young woman’s mysterious death during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth. [Source: THR]
