It looks like FromSoftware’s “Elden Ring” just lost its main challenger for the game of the year crown this year as Nintendo has announced a key delay.
The gaming giant has indicated that their sequel to the iconic 2017 title “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” has been pushed back to a Spring 2023 release window.
The game was still on track for a 2022 release on Nintendo’s last financial report, but a video published today has producer Eiji Aonuma apologising to fans whilst revealing the delay as the game’s team decided to extend its development time.
The sequel was first announced in 2019 and specifics remain under wraps for the most part.
