Paramount+ has premiered the full trailer for its limited series “The Offer” which explores the production of Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather”.
Miles Teller stars as Oscar-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy who is chosen to shepherd a film adaptation of the Mario Puzo novel. Dan Fogler co-stars as Coppola along with Matthew Goode as Bob Evans.
From budget constraints to an unwilling director, to other failed gangster movies, the production was an uphill battle but it yielded the 1972 film that remains one of the greatest of all time.
Giovanni Ribisi, Colin Hanks, Justin Chambers, Lou Ferrigno, Juno Temple, Burn Gorman, Anthony Ippolito and Michael Gandolfini co-star. The series was created and written by Michael Tolkin, with Nikki Toscano as co-writer and showrunner.
Nikki Toscano (“Hunters”) serves as showrunner on the series created by Michael Tolkin (“Escape at Dannemora”). The first three episodes of the ten-episode series premiere on the service on April 28th with weekly releases every Thursday after that.
