A new report has indicated that “Star Wars,” “Dune” and “The Card Counter” star Oscar Isaac has passed on a lead role in director Francis Ford Coppola’s long-gestating dream project “Megalopolis”.

Showbiz 411 broke the story saying the large-scale drama will be seeking another actor to take his place. James Caan, Forest Whitaker, Cate Blanchett, Jon Voight, Zendaya, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Jessica Lange have been among the names said to be in talks for various roles.

Coppola is expected to self-finance the $120 million production himself which is set in modern-day America but has more the feel of a Roman epic. Filming is slated to run from September to January in New York.
