“MacGruber” star Will Forte and “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” actress Lana Condor have signed on to join John Cena in the live-action/CG animation hybrid feature “Coyote vs Acme” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The feature will tell the story of a down-on-his-luck human attorney (Forte) who takes on classic Looney Tunes character Wile E. Coyote as a client.
Coyote has launched a lawsuit against ACME over its defective products. Soon the lawyer discovers his ex-boss (Cena) from his former law firm is representing Acme.
Dave Green (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows”) is directing while Samy Burch penned the script based on Ian Frazier’s humorous New Yorker article from 1990.
Chris DeFaria and James Gunn are producing and filming begins in New Mexico later this month ahead of a July 21st 2023 release.
