A few months on from Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci,” Comcast-backed Sky Studios is developing both a TV drama and documentary focusing on the Gucci family.
Unlike Scott’s film, this one is reportedly being done with an agreement having been made with several members of the fashion family dynasty – including young Italian producer Giorgio Gucci who will serve as executive producer on the docuseries.
Leone Film Group originated the projects with the scripted series still in the early stages of development and the docuseries in pre-production. Both aim to tell “the story of a great family and a great brand” according to producer Nils Hartmann.
Sky is reportedly in talks Wiip (“Mare of Easttown”) over the scripted series with an international writer being sought to work alongside Italian scribes on the show.
