“Westworld” and “Line of Duty” star Thandiwe Newton is in negotiations to join Channing Tatum in “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” for Warner Bros. Pictures.
The third installment in the male stripper-themed franchise, Steven Soderbergh is returning to the director’s chair while Reid Carolin returns to pen the script.
Tatum reprises the role of Mike Lane, a character loosely based on Tatum’s own experiences as a stripper in Florida. Newton’s role is unclear but is said to be the female lead of the feature.
Carolin, Gregory Jacobs, Nick Wechsler and Peter Kiernan produce.
