Natasha Liu Bordizzo (“The Society,” “Crazy About You”) will star opposite Rosario Dawson in the limited series “Star Wars: Ahsoka” for the Disney+ service.
Bordizzo has reportedly been cast as the live-action version of Sabine Wren from the “Star Wars Rebels” animated series alongside Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano who first appeared in live-action form in a second season episode of “The Mandalorian”.
In ‘Rebels’, Tiya Sircar voiced Sabine Wren – a young Mandalorian warrior, Imperial Academy dropout and a former bounty hunter with expert knowledge of weapons and explosives. ‘Rebels’ ended with Ahsoka and Wren setting out to find Ezra Bridger.
Dave Filoni pens and executive produces the new series alongside Jon Favreau. Ahsoka is reportedly eyeing a March production start date with Hayden Christensen rumored to also be making an appearance in some form as Anakin Skywalker.
