Focus Features has released a tease for the trailer for “Downton Abbey: A New Era,” the second film to continue the immensely popular period TV series.
The trailer will be attached exclusively to copies of “Belfast” in cinemas from Friday (and so likely online next week) and comes ahead of the ‘Abbey’ sequel launch in theaters in March next year.
In the new film, residents of Downton Abbey move further into the 1920s and approach both a new decade and the beginning of the modern world. Simon Curtis directs the project which writer Julian Fellowes dubs an unabashedly ‘feel good’ film.
