Channing Tatum and Tom Hardy are attached to star in a fact-based drama about this year’s Afghanistan evacuation which has been setup at Universal Pictures.
Filmmaker George Nolfi (“The Adjustment Bureau”) created the untitled original story pitch which focuses on three former special forces team members who join their Afghan counterparts to rescue families and allies left behind amid the rapid fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban in August.
Jules Daly, Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan, Tatum and Hardy will produce. Nolfi most recently penned and directed Apple TV+ feature “The Banker”.
