Following yesterday’s domestic trailer with its divisive use of the 4 Non Blondes song “What’s Up,” a new international trailer has hit for “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City”.
Boasting some new footage and a far more generic music track, the tone is also slightly more horror based for this live-action reboot of the “Resident Evil” film franchise.
Set in 1998, Raccoon City was once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation and is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland… with great evil brewing below the surface.
When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever changed… and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.
The cast includes Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker, Neal McDonough as William Birkin and Donal Logue as Chief Irons.
The Johannes Roberts-directed film arrives exclusively in cinemas on November 24th.
