Bill Skarsgard (“IT”), Samara Weaving (“Ready or Not”) and Yayan Ruhian (“The Raid”) will lead the cast of the revenge action fantasy feature “Boy Kills World” which Sam Raimi and Roy Lee will produce for Nthibah Pictures and Hammerstone Studios.
Set in a dystopian fever dream reality, Skarsgard plays a deaf-mute named ‘Boy’ with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, Boy escapes to the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman (Ruhian) to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death.
Weaving will play an assassin named June 27. First-time feature director Moritz Mohr helms the project with Arend Remmers and Tyler Burton Smith penning the script.
Filming is slated to kick off in early 2022 in South Africa.
