Following a recent string of success with both “The Gentlemen” and “Wrath of Man,” filmmaker Guy Ritchie’s next film has scored a new title and a release date.

Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone, and Hugh Grant star in the spy thriller which was previously going by the name “Five Eyes” and will now be called “Operation Fortune”.

The story follows an MI6 operative (Statham) and a CIA agent (Plaza) who attempt to stop the sale of deadly technology after being enlisted into the Five Eyes network.

Ritchie directs the film from a screenplay by himself, Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies – the trio of writers who worked on those two aforementioned recent Ritchie films which grossed $115 million and $104 million respectively off budgets of $22 million and $40 million.

“Operation Fortune” is currently scheduled to be released on January 21st 2022.
