“Black Panther” Sequel Begins Production

Black Panther Sequel Film Begins Production
Marvel

Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” officially kicked off production yesterday at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta as Kevin Feige confirmed the start with the trades during a Global Fan Event in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

He says the shoot is “clearly very emotional without Chad[wick Boseman]” but the plan is to do the film in a way that would make the late Oscar nominee proud.

The follow-up to 2018’s Oscar-winning, $1.3 billion box-office blockbuster sees director Ryan Coogler returning to direct from his screenplay and much of the original cast returning (a confirmed list has not been issued as yet).

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is set to debut on July 8th 2022 and is expected to be followed by a Disney+ TV series set within the world of Wakanda which Coogler is producing.
