“Hellboy” and “Sons of Anarchy” star Ron Perlman has been cast as the voice of Optimus Primal in the upcoming “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” for Paramount Pictures.
In the new film Optimus Primal is the leader of the Maximals (the Beast Wars’ version of the Autobots) who takes on the evil Predacons and the very evil Terrorcons in a war for the fate of the world that is set in 1994 in both Brooklyn and Peru.
Perlman marks the third cast member revealed for the project with Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback starring in human roles on screen in the project to be directed by Stephen Caple, Jr. (“Creed II”).
Filming on project kicks off soon for a June 24th 2022 release.
