New Trailer: “Star Trek: Picard” S2

Q Picard First Trailer
Paramount+

To celebrate Captain Picard Day, the Paramount+ streaming service has premiered the first trailer and key art for the second season of “Star Trek: Picard” – the clip coming months ahead of the show’s return in early 2022.

Filming began in February and is still underway at present with reports suggesting the second and third seasons are being shot simultaneously.

The teaser confirms the return of the various supporting characters from the first season including scene-stealers like Santiago Cabrera’s Captain Rios and Orla Brady’s Romulan housekeeper Laris.

All the key cast like Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora and Michelle Hurd are back, as is Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine. The teaser also sees the return of John de Lancie as Q whose dialogue suggests a throwback to the TNG episode “Tapestry” as it explores “the end of the road not taken”.

“Star Trek: Picard” is set to return in 2022 on Paramount+ in the United States and on Amazon Prime internationally.
