Jeff Nichols Plans New Sci Fi Movie
Warner Bros. Pictures

Hot off the news he’s set to direct the “A Quiet Place” spin-off at Paramount Pictures, celebrated filmmaker Jeff Nichols (“Take Shelter,” “Loving,” “Midnight Special”) is already planning another project with the same studio.

Nichols is reportedly attached to write and direct an untitled sci-fi movie for the studio which he will shoot once he wraps production on his “A Quiet Place” franchise entry which has already set a March 23rd 2023 release.

No further details about the untitled new film are available as it’s still in early development. At last report, Nichols was attempting to reboot the James Caan-led 1988 sci-fi feature “Alien Nation” at 20th Century Studios with Michael Shannon attached for a lead role. Attempts to repackage that as a ten-episode series would appear to have fallen through if he has booked two new features.
