“Tenet” and “BlacKKKlansman” star John David Washington will star in filmmaker Gareth Edwards’ new sci-fi feature “True Love” for New Regency.
The story is set in the near future and based on an original idea from Edwards who will write, produce and direct. Further plot details are under wraps.
The project will mark Edwards’ fourth feature following 2010’s “Monsters,” 2014’s “Godzilla” and 2016’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”.
Kiri Hart will also produce. Washington recently filmed the David O. Russell film “Canterbury Glass” at New Regency, and will next be seen alongside Alicia Vikander, Boyd Holbrook and Vicky Krieps in the Ferdinando Cito Filomarino-directed thriller “Beckett” on Netflix in August.
