Emma Booth (“The Gloaming”) is set to lead a TV series adaptation of the short film “Proxy” at Anonymous Content. Dominick Joseph Luna and Halil Ozsan will executive produce.
The serialized, global sci-fi drama is set in a near-future where electronic mass surveillance and a social credit system have entirely crippled personal freedom.
Proxies – psychological ‘surrogates’ – have become the only reasonable option for anyone who can’t risk losing their wealth and liberty for undesirable behavior.
AC Studios (“Dickinson,” “Defending Jacob”) will serve as the studio on the project to be executive produced by Kim Hodgert and Kami Putnam-Heist.
