Following the success of the Omar Sy-led and Louis Leterrier-directed “Lupin” series, the pair are re-teaming with Netflix for a currently untitled French action-comedy feature.
The project serves as a follow-up to the 2012 film “On the Other Side of the Tracks” starring Sy and Laurent Lafitte. Lafitte is also returning and they’re joined by Izia Higelin.
The story follows two cops with very different styles, backgrounds and careers. The unlikely pair is reunited for a new investigation that takes them all the way up to the French Alps.
What seemed to be a simple drug deal turns out to be a high scale criminal case wrapped in danger and unexpected comedy.
Leterrier will direct from a screenplay by Stephane Kazandjian. Eric Altmayer and Nicolas Altmayer will produce. Filming begins March 15th in Paris and the Rhone-Alpes region in France ahead of a release on Netflix in 2022.
