The TV series adaptation of Dan Brown’s best-selling third Robert Langdon novel “The Lost Symbol” has been moved from NBC over to its Peacock streamer where it will now be an original series for the service and has been granted a series order and a terrible title – “Dan Brown’s Langdon”.

Ashley Zukerman (“Designated Survivor,” “The Code,” “Succession”) stars as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, taking on the role played by Tom Hanks in the film adaptations of “Angels & Demons,” “The Da Vinci Code” and “Inferno”. Valorie Curry, Sumalee Montano, Rick Gonzalez, Eddie Izzard and Beau Knapp co-star.

CBS Television Studios, Universal TV and Imagine TV are producing the series which follows the early adventures of Robert Langdon who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy.

NBCUniversal Television chairman Susan Rovner says: “The team was blown away by this pilot and its enormous potential to become a big, binge-worthy hit, and our new structure enables us to move it to Peacock and give it every opportunity to make that happen.”

Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie (“Revenge,” “Scream”) are writing the series, taking over from Daniel Cerone (“Dexter”) who is no longer involved. Brown, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Samie Kim Falvey and Anna Culp executive produce.
